Jacob Best is a dedicated political communicator, fundraiser and organizer who is passionate about crafting and disseminating messages aimed to educate and inspire voters, helping candidates raise money and working to elect people who will create a positive change in our country.

As communications director for the Carolyn Bourdeaux for Congress campaign in 2018, Jacob created and executed a messaging and communications strategy that took a first-time candidate through a primary runoff and a general election against a 4-term incumbent in an R+9 district, culminating in the closest Congressional race in the country, a margin of only 433 votes, only confirmed after a recount in the weeks after the election.

Later, as the campaign’s senior advisor, he guided and executed communications and fundraising strategies to relaunch the campaign only a few months later when the Republican incumbent announced his retirement, helping the campaign earn national media attention and raise the most money of any Congressional challenger in Q1 of 2019 in only seven weeks.

A veteran of the Hillary for America campaign, Jacob worked alongside top communications professionals in creating statewide communication tactics in Florida, the largest swing state in the country. As the president of the Gators 4 Hillary student organization at the University of Florida, he also led organizing efforts to register, persuade and turn-out voters on one of the largest college campuses in Florida, helping Hillary Clinton win Alachua County in the general election with 58.3 percent of the vote.

As an organizer on the Jon Ossoff for Congress campaign, the largest congressional campaign in American history, Jacob played a vital role in creating and executing techniques to reach voters and recruit volunteers across the 6th Congressional District in Georgia. His efforts helped transform a solidly Republican district into a toss-up district in only a few months, helping create new campaign organizing techniques for the Democratic Party to transfer all around the nation.

Jacob is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a minor in French and Francophone Studies at the highest honors level of summa cum laude.
